Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday warned that rapid demographic changes in Bihar’s border regions due to illegal immigration pose a serious challenge, stressing that his government will not allow infiltrators to “snatch away the rights” of the state’s people.

Addressing a rally in Gaya, the Prime Minister said that the increasing presence of illegal immigrants in the country is a “matter of grave concern” and announced that the recently launched High-Power Demography Mission will begin work soon to tackle the issue.

“From the Red Fort, I have spoken about the dangers of infiltrators. Bihar too is facing this challenge. The demography of border areas is changing rapidly. The NDA government will not allow infiltrators to take away jobs meant for the people of Bihar or decide the future of our country,” Modi said.

He asserted that the Centre’s mission will ensure the removal of illegal immigrants. “We will throw out every infiltrator. The people of Bihar must remain vigilant against those who support them. Congress and RJD want to take away your rights and hand them over to these infiltrators just for vote-bank politics,” the PM alleged.

Reiterating his Independence Day warning, Modi said demographic changes in border regions endanger national security. “Infiltrators are snatching livelihoods, targeting our daughters, misleading tribal communities, and grabbing land. This conspiracy to change India’s demography will not be tolerated,” he said.

The Prime Minister underlined that the “double-engine” NDA government is committed to protecting opportunities for locals and securing the nation’s borders.
